Parenting vs. Adoption

How in the world can a person make such a big decision? The decision of whether to parent your child or place him for adoption is one that only you, the mother and father of the baby can make. You will have well meaning family and friends give their opinions, but in the end, you are the ones who must be satisfied that you decided what would be best for you and your baby’s future.

I (Kim the director of APO) strongly encourage you to spend time in prayer regarding this decision. I have a strong faith in Christ and know that He has a great plan for our lives. He knows your baby intimately and does have a plan for your baby and a plan for you. Ask Him to give you wisdom and to guide you into making the best decision...one that would be honoring to Him and your child.

It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so sweetly,
But in my hands they die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in Him for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to Him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before me,
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.
