Adoption Stories

Jennifer's Story

My name is Jennifer. I am thirteen years old. I was given up for adoption when I was born. My birthmother made the wonderful decision of putting gme in my family I have. While I was growin up, my mom and dad never hid anything from me about me being adopted. They always told me the truth. I first met my birthmother when I was three. I can still remember where it was, and how excited I was. She had married and started a family of her own. At this time, I found out I had a sister.

I feel that my birthmom was very mature and strong in making the decision to give me up for adoption. I love her with all of my heart and more. I feel it was the best choice my mirthmom could have made, and I respect her very much for it. I have a love for life and I owe it to her, because she gave me this life. I’m very proud to be adopted. For someone cared for me so much, they gave me up so I and they could have an easier and better life. I’m proud of my mom’s decision and I’m proud to have her as my birthmom.
