On May 2, 2012 Denise Fries turned 50 years old and personified the phrase, “It is better to give than receive.”  She donated $50,000 to be divided between 21 area non-profits.  APO was awarded a $5,000 matching grant for the purpose of starting an endowment fund within the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley.

     Denise attended APO’s Family Fest on May 12th at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater.  Before Rodney Atkins took the stage, Denise described her grant to the audience and urged them also act generously consider how they, too, can dig deep and make a difference.
